In partnership with Bro Morgannwg Health Board, TAN tutors undertook training with English National Ballet to learn to work with people living with Parkinsons. Our tutors are now working in conjunction with Singleton Hospital Swansea to share knowledge and experience with occupational and physio therapists to help them incorporate dance and movement into their daily work with those living with Parkinsons.
After a fantastic launch and debut performances at Swansea Grand Theatre and The Dance House WMC for the People Dancing Wales Commission, funded by Foundation for Community Dance and Arts Council of Wales, our brand new Diverse Capacity Dance Company are now working toward their next piece. Dragons Heart & Dragons Soul will perform at the Hijinx Unity Festival at Cardiff’s WMC on 29th June.

Thanks to Gordon Cook Foundation, our Values Education work is continuing with a new Pilot Programme, Positive Steps. Exploring the themes of Health, Wellbeing, Lifestyle and Positive Choices, we will work with 100’s of young people from comprehensive schools in Swansea and Neath Port Talbot.
As a result of 5 years of our Family Forward Project funded by Gordon Cook Foundation, The Communities First North West Cluster have commissioned TAN to replicate this popular and successful programme at Cadle Primary School, Swansea. This project is in line with their Family Learning Signature Programme.
